Caremark (Aylesbury & Wycombe) sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr

A renowned domiciliary care provider which is part of a leading franchise operator has been sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

Caremark Limited is one of the UK’s most respected care home agencies. Their Aylesbury and Wycombe business, trading as Blueys Limited, was formed in December 2009 and has won multiple awards due to its first-class service offering.

The business supports clients with non-nursing care including PEG feeding, stoma care, catheter care and end-of-life support in their homes.

The company delivers circa 2,500 hours of care per week and has an excellent reputation with clients in the area, enjoying regular referrals and recommendations.

Having built up the successful business for several years, owner Janis Anderson decided to place Blueys Limited on the market to facilitate retirement plans and to focus on new projects.

She instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale of the business and we used our expert strategies to deliver an excellent deal.

Sam Fazackerley, Healthcare Business Broker, was the lead negotiator in the sale and the first-class marketing campaign generated nine viewings. It was sold to Dr Kris Owden who has extensive experience in the medical sector.

Upon completion of the sale, the vendor said: “I am delighted to welcome Kris to the team and believe that he has the same passion and commitment that I have felt in building this business over the past 11 years.

“I am sad to leave the care workers and clients who have contributed so much to my enjoyment of life over the past years but I know that I am leaving them in good hands.

“RDK were proactive throughout the sale process, having identified a buyer working closely with me to negotiate a satisfactory conclusion.

“They were friendly and courteous and I was delighted to achieve a sale within the timeframe originally intended. Sam in particular was really helpful and communicated excellently throughout the process.”

Dr Owden is a Medical Doctor and has specific experience working with people living with dementia, elderly individuals with eating disorders and children with medical needs.

He stated that he wants to be his own boss and the stable track record, potential to expand and the strong management team attracted him to Blueys.

Dr Owden said: “I can’t thank Sam enough for his professionalism and thoroughness throughout the sale experience.

“Sam would respond to queries and walk me through the process with ease. A truly wonderful company to work with, I would highly recommend Redwoods Dowling Kerr.”

Sam Fazackerley said: “As a whole this was a very smooth sale from offer acceptance to completion.

“Both the vendor and the buyer were very proactive in the sale process and kept to the timescales which were agreed from the outset.

“There were a few minor hurdles along the way, however, all parties worked together to ensure these issues were dealt with pragmatically.

“I feel we have found the right buyer in Kris and I am confident that he will take the business forward with enthusiasm, energy and absolute dedication to the high standards of care which Janis and her team have committed to over the years.

“I would like to wish all the best for Janis in her retirement and once the pandemic is over, I hope she enjoys her well-deserved holiday around Europe.”
