Altius Group Welcomes New Contact Centre Director
Altius Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Whiteside as Contact Centre Director.
Altius Group is celebrating thirteen months with Ecologi. In that time, we have planted 5,590 trees and funded 21 projects resulting in more than 414 tonnes of carbon reduction.
– The project will reduce consumption of charcoal by 64%.
– It will reduce indoor air pollution by 65%.
– The project will help distribute over 380,000 cookstoves in its lifetime.
– It will avoid 4.3 million tonnes of CO2e.
– It will reduce demand for wood fuel by 2.4 million tonnes.
– This area’s protection will reduce CO2e by 659,793 tonnes each year.
– The project area provides habitat to four endangered rainforest tree species.
– It provides a habitat for eleven endangered wildlife species.
– It will help provide income, employment, and training to local communities.
– This project consists of 51 2MW wind turbines.
– It will generate 345,970MWh of energy per year.
– It will operate for 20 years.
– We planted 57,000 trees around the project site employing 500 locals.
– 32 locals work for the project providing them with a stable income.
– We also helped drill three water wells providing 2,000 locals with clean water.
Becoming a carbon-friendly workforce has allowed us to fight climate change. We have changed lives by starting conversations between colleagues about their carbon footprint. These everyday conversations make a huge difference to the future of our planet.
