Altius 2025 Season Kicks Off to a Great Start for Charity

Altius Group, the UK’s leading group of boutique business brokers, has kicked off the new year with a series of donations to local good causes.

As their 2024/25 football themed fundraiser continues, company Chairman, Paul Miller, has committed £200 to be donated for every goal scored by Newcastle United FC during the season.

With another 24 goals scored, the latest donations have seen £4,800 split between a number of local charities chosen by Altius Group staff – Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley, The Foxton Centre in Preston, Blackpool Food Bank and Brian House Children’s Hospice in Blackpool.

These contributions follow £3,400 raised at the start of the Autumn season and a previous charity drive in 2023/24 which saw £10,200 raised.

Ellie Smith, Community Fundraiser at Derian House, explained the importance of the donations: “A massive thank you for your very kind support and donation of £2,400 to Derian House Children’s Hospice. Your donation goes towards providing palliative care and respite for 400 babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

“In 2024, it will cost us £6 million to provide our services and we receive only 29% funding from statutory sources, so we rely on our own efforts and the support of our friends within the community to help us meet our financial target. Therefore, we are truly thankful and appreciative of your kindness to help us keep our doors open to those who need us.”
